BEER CREEK BMX

4/4/8 Texas Floods and Tornadoes

Weekly tornadoes, must mean it's spring time in Texas. Last week we had 7" of rain in 24 hours here at Beer Creek which compounded the crappiness of my jumps. The pits were filled with sediment from far away lands.

Freestyle Skatepark $5 Thursday bike night is right on time! They had a fun contest a few weeks ago. Atom Baker of United Freestyle Team brought out the big box and the DJ/MC action. There was a good turn out and alot of very good riders. I can't say as much for the judges.  Big Thanks to everyone who help this to happen-( D, Travis, Atom, etc...)
Highlights from my aging memory as follows:

  • Abilene Kaufman's awfully white ass in a red thong

  • Spencer's tailwhip transfer from spine to big box landing

  • Doublewhips, 720's, 360 whips

  • Decades over the box

  • Cameron's killer street style

  • Travis' smoothness

  • I think Cody won Expert..?

  • Friendly attitudes, good times

Last weekend there was a big race (US Nationals) at the Desoto BMX track. Doug E Fresh held it down for 9th Street winning every time he raced. Click here to watch the high speed video

My friend Dumancas has a cool project going on: Old Nissan 280z with a Chevy 350 shortblock. Better put another sticker on your ricer and get a BIGGER muffler.
